Dazed and confused Amanda Bynes looks lost as she tries to navigate NYC on her iPhone

She moved to New York six months ago to become a fashion designer.
But it seems Amanda Bynes has lost her way.
Not only has the star failed to make a great start in her career venture - but she also appeared to be have navigational issues as she walked around the Big Apple on Wednesday.

Which way? Amanda  Bynes was spotted buying herself a new iPhone at a Verizon store in New York on Wednesday and immediately put it to good use as she wandered around the city looking a little lost

The 26-year-old actress looked slightly perplexed as she traipsed Manhattan by herself.
At one point the star stopped at a Verizon phone shop to purchase a new iPhone which she used right away - perhaps switching on the GPS.
It’s a wonder how Amanda would even manage to get to a business meeting without some help as it seemed she needed the device to help her navigate the area.
Thankfully it didn’t seem she had anything scheduled in for the day as she dressed in casual attire on her stroll.

Amanda donned black leggings with Nike trainers and a white beanie hat to cover her head.
Underneath her platinum blonde wig – which she had shown the full extent of on Twitter in February - fell out of the side in a ponytail style.
She wore oversize sunglasses and the California girl showed her love for America’s West Coast by donning a hooded top with ‘Los Angeles’ emblazoned across it in gold.
Amanda later gave up on her attempt to get around alone and hopped in a cab and began smoking a cigarette before heading back to her apartment.  
The troubled actress - who has both her cheeks pierced with jewellery - announced in 2007 that she did not want to become yet another wild Hollywood star.

But since then life has not gone smoothly.
Last year the fading starlet had several brushes with the law involving her car.
Early in 2012 she was stopped by police for driving while talking on her cell phone.
Then in April she was charged with a DUI after allegedly side-swiping a police car following a night at a West Hollywood club.
Her car was impounded and her license was suspended in September, but her two hit-and-run charges were dismissed by the court in December.

She will be hoping her new project fares better than her 2007 clothing line, Dear, which failed to stop retailer Steve & Barry's filing for bankruptcy.
Amanda shot to fame after appeared in successful television series including as All That and The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon in the mid to late 1990s and early 2000s.
She also branched out into film, appearing in the likes of 2003's critically panned What A Girl Wants and 2007's Hairspray before her abrupt retirement.
