'I'm not hung up on my body': Charlize Theron opens up about stripping off as she steams up the pages of W with Prometheus co-star Michael Fassbender

They play bitter rivals in Ridley Scott's highly-anticipated thriller Prometheus, which has hit cinemas to lukewarm reviews.
But the chemistry is undeniable between Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender in a steamy new editorial for W magazine.
Wrapped in leather and lace, the co-stars are shown in a series of provocative poses in a sexy science-fiction-themed shoot.

Art directors seemed to tip their hat to Scott's latest release, setting the actors in an ominious liar lined with chain-link fences and industrial set design.

Scott's film, released last month, is set in the late 21st century, when the crew of the spaceship Prometheus is sent on a scientific expedition to follow a star map which could lead them to the origins of mankind.
But as they begin to explore the advanced civilization of an extraterrestrial race, they soon face a threat to humanity's very existence.

Charlize Theron stars as corporate boss Meredith Vickers; while Fassbender plays an aloof android, David.
And so the on-screen rivals' tug-of-war plays out in the pages of W, the actress fighting Fassbender's attempts to manipulate and control her.

The blonde South African beauty shows her slender figure in an eye-catching Dolce & Gabbana silk bodysuit and Dior lambskin skirt, while Fassbender wears little more than Diesel Black and Gold leather pants.
In one shot, the actor dangles upside down from a fence, grabbing the actress' thigh as she clutches his belt.
Clenching her face in his hands in another scene, the pair are dangerously close to locking lips, but neither seems to want to give in.
In an interview with W's Editor at Large Lynn Hirschberg, the pair gave a glimpse at their off-screen chemistry, the pair revealing they are 'anything but combative' in real-life.
The actress confided she has few hang-ups when it comes to filming sex scenes for a role.
'I’m not hung up on my body,' she explained, as the pair began to banter.
'And I've been lucky to work with people I’ve been really comfortable with. I’ve had maybe two occasions where...'
'It's been uncomfortable,' Fassbender finished her sentence.

Charlize laughs: 'And Michael’s one of the two who did not make me feel very comfortable.'
But the actor took the jab in stride, insisting it was only his character that may have made for an awkward on-screen tryst.

'I was a robot!' he said as the pair laughed.
