The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry yesterday enjoyed a rare outing with just the two of them - visiting the Team GB House to congratulate the athletes for contributing to Britain's biggest medal haul for more than a century.
Kate and her brother-in-law met rowing gold medallists Andy Triggs Hodge, Kat Copeland and Sophie Hosking on a visit to Team GB House in Stratford, east London.

Copeland, who won the women's double sculls on Saturday with her rowing partner Hosking, said it was 'amazing' to meet the Duchess.

She said: 'I've wanted to meet her, all through the Games I've seen her at other sports and I keep missing her. She's gorgeous in real life.
'They were both really nice. Kate had obviously watched all of our races, which was pretty amazing.

'Both of them seem really enthusiastic and excited, they know a lot and they've obviously watched it all.
'She was really knowledgeable about our sport and we talked about the cycling and she talked to Brownlee about the triathlon so it's pretty incredible that they have been watching everything and they really know what's going on.'
Hosking added: 'It was a pleasure to meet them. They just seemed very normal and very humble. We were chatting about what we have watched and they were saying how much they have enjoyed the Games.'
The royals have been strong supporters of the Games and have attended numerous events to back British athletes.
Harry told Brownlee that he was 'loving' the Games and other events happening besides the contests - including double Olympic champion cyclists Laura Trott and Jason Kenny sharing a kiss behind David Beckham and Mayor of London Boris Johnson getting caught on a zip wire.
He said: 'I saw some fantastic pictures of David Beckham with those two smooching in the background.'
Later he met some of the firefighters who have been working at the Olympic Park and laughed as he asked one of them: 'Did you see Boris on the zip wire?'
Kate, who was wearing a navy jacket with matching jeans and wedges with a white polo shirt, arrived at Team GB House after watching boxer Nicola Adams win a gold medal. Earlier in the day she went to see synchronised swimming.
Harry, wearing a white Team GB T-shirt and blue jeans, left the event to go to the Olympic Stadium for the athletics.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg also took a trip to the British Olympic hospitality venue and congratulated the athletes.

Will Brad Pitt marry Angelina Jolie this weekend? Plans for huge 'party' at French chateau spark speculation

Preparations for a huge party at the French home of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sparked fevered speculation that they are secretly preparing to marry.
Guests, including Brad's parents, have arrived at the chateau ahead of the bash, to be held at Chateau Miraval this weekend.
Jeweller Robert Procop, who made Angelina's $250,000 diamond and platinum engagement ring, is also thought to be in attendance.

The couple's engagement was revealed back in April, after seven years and six children together.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they’re all here now.
'They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina’s private jeweller is here.'
Guests are said to include George Clooney, who is currently a short flight away at his home on Lake Como, Italy.
The source added: 'There’s a real buzz around the estate.'

It is thought that the couple will wed in a private chapel in the grounds of their home, with civil ceremonies only allowed at the town hall in France.
'We don't know anything about it,' Patrick Mareschi, deputy culture secretary of the nearby village of Correns, told Reuters.
'Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall. Unlike with a religious wedding, there's no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home,' he added.
It has long been known that the pair were planning to hold their wedding at their £35million estate in the South of France.

After their engagement was announced it was learnt that a huge reception hall was under construction at the Provence home.
Aerial images of the site in February showed a large white building being erected next to the quaint chapel.
Angelina has been married twice before - to British actor Jonny Lee Miller between 1996 and 1999 and then Billy Bob Thornton, from 2000 to 2003.
Brad's marriage to Jennifer Aniston lasted five years before they announced they were divorcing in early 2005 - which came after he had met Angelina on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith.
Brangelina - as they became known - quickly became a Hollywood power couple, with a brood of six children, Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, five-year-old Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged three.
The couple once insisted they wouldn't wed until the legalisation of same-sex marriage in America.
But Brad recently admitted he didn't feel they'd be to wait that long because of mounting pressure from their children.
'It seems to mean more and more to our kids,' he said in January.
'We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to [get married] till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out … it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.'
Angelina has also said that their children often ask why they aren't married like 'Shrek and Fiona'.
She said just months ago: 'We've explained to them that our commitment, when we decided to start a family, was the greatest commitment you could possibly have.
'Once you have six children, you're committed.'

Shopping for Girls' Swimwear - five Things to Look at

three. Funds could be an vital position, and there are many diverse acquiring solutions readily available for girls swimwear presently. Very good swimsuit fabric is high priced but fabric is only a little portion of the ticket total price. Larger ticket items include things like high priced brand name advertising it could possibly make a extra fascinating swimsuit but not automatically a better high quality a single. Have a shop close to to find a costume in very good superior fabric that suits your funds from an individual of the lesser-known makes without having the high effect marketing.

In time, large road outlets will have a array of swimwear, you can go upmarket to boutiques or economise at the supermarket or spending budget sports activities chains. The internet is a wonderful location for acquiring girls' swimwear, there are endless little boutiques with personal models typically at extremely reasonable prices. And on the internet you can shop all 12 months spherical. Sun protecting swimwear mid-winter season? No trouble!

four. Take a good look at your daughter and advise a type that suits her system kind. I would by no means highly recommend creating a large deal more than this youthful girls really do not have to have a conversation about massive bums or hefty shoulders. But retain Trinny & Susannah in the again of your mind if your a little chunky daughter is oohing over a skinny design in a spaghetti strap crop major.

5. And lastly, you as a parent should contemplate the sun harm your baby could be incurring. Young men and women generally have problems with the principle of very long term penalties. Inform a bronzed seashore babe that she'll be all wrinkly at 40 and you'll get a look and feel that tells you just how remote forty looks to a babe.

Frequent tanning leads right to leathery pores and skin. And, even worse, there is the unfortunate reality is that skin cancer, brought on by overexposure to the sun, is one particular of the most widespread cancers and the quantity of cases is growing.

In this way, you are essentially hitting two birds with one stone. You preserved the vogue and sexiness of your swim use but at the same time you human body covered and wholesome.

At the end of the day, do not let something from stopping your youngster to hit the seaside and like. The around naked glimpse is cute on a two year outdated and alluring on a fashion design but nearly generally inappropriate on anybody else, specially a 'tween girl. Don't give your teenager a granny match, but do examine the style of consideration their swimwear will attract. It's not just their mates and the community boys who will see them, if they're in public they may perhaps bump into their teachers, neighbours, parents friends.

2. Obtain a swimsuit for your daughter, not for you. There's a good bra-buying scene in "Bend it like Beckham" where the mother is flicking along a rail wanting at bras with enhanced cleavage and lace straps, and the daughter, played by Kiera Knightly, is on a entirely different rail searching at essential white figures with sport assistance. At least start out by wanting on the similar rail as your daughter.

Facts About Satellite TV Antenna

Satellite TV dishes are used to receive signals for viewing DISH Network channels. It is essentially a DISH shaped unit with a parabolic antenna, which has been designed to receive microwave signals from various communication satellites and then helps them to broadcast in different locations.

The most primary type of satellite TV DISH is VSAT. This DISH enables you to have two way communications and is primarily used by organizations to create private networks for themselves so that they can communicate with each others. The VSAT satellites used Ku band frequency. The antennas used by this satellite TV DISH vary between 74 cm to 120 cm in size.

Another type of Satellite Dish TV is the multi-satellite. This DISH antenna has been designed to get simultaneous receptions from the different satellites located at different points.

The most common type of satellite TV DISH is used for watching home television, which has a diameter of 43cm to 80 cm. They are fixed in single position. These types of DISH Network antennas offer good communication facility. However it should be noted that if the DISH antenna is too small it can interfere and hamper communication due to rain and snowfall.

When it comes to the choice of satellite TV DISH what must be considered is not the antenna but the satellite TV provider. In United States DISH Network is the leading pay TV service provider. When satellite TV first hit the market in early 1990's the home dishes were pretty expensive that took up huge chunks of your backyard. In those days only the rich and the famous could afford a satellite TV at their homes. Therefore only the TV enthusiasts had to go through the hassles of installing satellite TV DISH and the expense of putting up satellite TV DISH was pretty high.

Today you can see compact DISH Network antennas perched on rooftops all over the United States. As cable TV hasn't been spread in the rural areas, so you will mostly see satellite TV in every house there. Even satellite TV providers are luring in more customers everyday by providing best of the movies, round the clock news and best of the sporting events with a promise to provide best movie-quality picture and superior sound.

Conceptually satellite TV functions like a broadcast TV. It is a wireless system for delivering TV programming directly into the subscriber's house. Both satellite TV and broadcast television stations transmit programming through radio signal. Both of them use a powerful antenna to transmit radio waves to the surrounding areas.

What are Flying Lanterns? An easy guide

Lanterns are popular portable lighting devices that have stuck around through ages of use thanks to their versatility and ability to light up larger areas than traditional lights. The earliest flying lanterns emerged as a means to protect the flame of a candle, preventing flickering of the light and the threat of extinguishment of outside sources such as wind or moisture, encasing the candle in a metal container, often in the shape of a cylinder or box with clear sides, usually made of glass, and a vent on the top. As technology advanced, fuel sources such as whale oil or kerosene replaced the traditional candle but the general design of the day to day lantern went largely unchanged, keeping their characteristic shape and illumination style.

With the advent of electricity, the design of the traditional lantern changed somewhat with the introduction of battery powered lights in the place of a burning fuel source and even more recently with the popularization of LED lights over traditional bulbs due to their significantly longer battery life, reduced size and comparable if not better brightness.

Lanterns also emerged as cultural symbols, with the some of the more iconic lanterns being the famous Chinese lanterns , sky lanterns that contain a slow burning waxy candle in the shape of a pad that heats the air inside the balloon-like paper shell causing them to rise into the air. Some yearly festivals see the release of several thousand Flying Lanterns at any one time. It is really a great spectacle.
